Managing Session using URL rewriting

URL rewriting is a session management technique that manages user session by
modifying a URL. Usually, this technique is used when information that is to be
transferred is not very critical because the URL can be intercepted easily during
transfer. For example, in an online shopping portal, a servlet can modify a URL to
include user information, such as a username. The servlet can then display the URL.

When the user clicks the URL hyperlink. The information is sent to another servlet that
retrieves the user information and displays a welcome message. You can use the
following code to create the servlet, RewriteServletURL that modifies and displays a
URL.

WAP to calculate the monthly telephone bills as per the following rule: Minimum Rs. 200 for upto 100 calls. Plus Rs. 0.60 per call for next 50 calls. Plus Rs. 0.50 per call for next 50 calls. Plus Rs. 0.40 per call for any call beyond 200 calls.
